It’s Getting Cloudy Crochet Pattern

It’s getting cloudy outside, so let’s make something sweet to hang up inside to cheer us up. This little cloud with raindrops is quite easy to make in a day and a sweet little gift to decorate a little ones room.

clouds1en2

I made two versions of the little cloud, one is made in a half double crochet and is a little wider, the other is made with a single crochet and is a little rounder and stout. Pick whichever one you prefer! And of course you can make them in any color you like. I also made some in blue.

Here is a pattern to make a little cloud and raindrops.

I used a grey cotton and acrylic blend for the cloud. To make the cloud I used a 5 mm hook.

Cloud mobile crochet patternFor the cheeks,
make two circles:

(I used a leftover piece of pink yarn for the tiny cheeks)

Make a magic circle.

round 1: 6sc, join with a slip stitch, ch 1

round 2: 2sc in each stitch around, join and tie off

Sew the cheeks on either side of the cloud.

For the eyes and mouth:

little cloud 2 closeupUse a black cotton yarn and needle to stitch on the eyes and mouth.

To finish the cloud:

With the yarn you left on the second piece you can single crochet around the two pieces to join them together. Stuff the little cloud with some pillow filling.

For the raindrops:

For the raindrops I used a blue cotton mix and a size 4 hook. I made three raindrops.

Make a magic circle:

round 1: 6sc, join to first sc, chain 1 (6sc)

round 2: 2sc in each sc around (12sc), do not join, but keep working in the round

round 3: 12 sc around (12 sc)

round 4: *2sctog,1sc* 4 times (8 sc)

round 5: 8sc around

round 6: *2sctog, 1sc* twice

round 7: sc around

round 8: 2sctog twice

Tie off making sure the yarn is at the top of the raindrop and leave enough length to tie it to the cloud and work the ends into the stuffing of the cloud.

When you have attached your raindrops to your cloud, you are almost finished. Attach a piece of yarn to the top of the cloud to hang up your little mobile. You made it!

Thank you so much for visiting. Blessings!
